Payment & Cancellation Policy

When you reserve a place at a Treehouse gathering, you're holding a seat in a small, intentional circle. Because our groups are kept deliberately small, every place matters — both to us and to the people we turn away once a retreat fills. The terms below let us plan with care and treat everyone fairly.

Reserving your place

A 25% deposit secures your spot. The remaining balance is due 30 days before the retreat begins. You can pay in full at booking if you prefer.

If we haven't received your balance by the due date, we may release your place to someone on the waitlist.

Deposits

Your deposit is refundable within 14 days of booking — if you change your mind in those first two weeks, we'll return it in full, no questions asked.

After that grace window, the deposit is non-refundable. It holds your place and covers the costs we commit to in advance — venue, food, and materials — as we build the group around you.

If you need to cancel

We understand life shifts. How a cancellation is handled depends on when you let us know:

  • More than 30 days before the retreat: You forfeit the 25% deposit; anything beyond it is refunded. (The balance isn't due yet, so usually there's nothing more to settle — but if you paid in full early, that portion comes back to you.)

  • Between 30 and 14 days before the retreat: We retain 50% of your total payment and refund the rest.

  • Within 14 days of the retreat: Payments are non-refundable, as we've committed your place and the associated costs by this point.

In every case, you may transfer your place to someone else. If you can't attend, you're welcome to pass your spot to a friend at no extra charge — just let us know who's coming so we can welcome them properly.

To cancel or transfer, email us at connect@thetreehouse.team.

If we need to cancel

If the Treehouse cancels a retreat — for low enrollment, facilitator illness, or circumstances beyond our control — you'll receive a full refund, including your deposit, or the option to transfer your full payment to a future gathering.

Circumstances beyond your control

For serious, unforeseeable events — illness, family emergency, wildfire, severe weather — reach out to us. While our standard terms still apply, we'll work with you in good faith and will generally offer credit toward a future Treehouse gathering where we reasonably can.
